posted 16 Feb 2011 09:04 by pro kilmacow   [ updated 13 Jun 2011 10:10 ]

Over four hundred people attended the launch of "A History of the GAA in Kilmacow 1884 to 2010" in the Community Centre recently. Written by Senan Cooke and his team of researchers the book of almost nine hundred pages covers the Hurling, Camogie, Football, Handball, Athletics and Social History of the area. At the ceremony it was launched by Michéal o Muircheartaigh and Club Chairman Richard Dowling. Its cover of Green, Red and Blue stripes encapsulates the colours of many of the teams including the Undefeatables, Dunkitt Ramblers and Grannagh.that represented Kilmacow down through the generations.

Have you got your copy of the History of the GAA in KIlmacow.

Copies are now available in all shops in Kilmacow (Seanti, Harneys and O'Neills, Crokes of Ballygriffin) and the book centre in Waterford to name but a few locations.

Alternativly buy the book directly from members of the GGA, Athletics or Camogie clubs.

Come long and get your copy its a fasinating read.
